Reminder that the Green Giant's Outdoor Classic Game at Lanspeary Arena is this coming Thursday from 5 pm to 7 pm (March 1). Parents MUST wear skates, shin pads, cup, gloves and helmet at the very least.  Full equipment is highly recommended. Should be a really fun match this year.

In a must win game to reach the "A" Championship game, the Green Giants came out flying.  This game was back and forth hockey, end to end breakaways, zone domination and unbelievable saves from both goaltenders.  There was never more than a goal separating these two clubs throughout all 3 periods.  Entertainment x 1000. The Green Giants came out of the gate strong and the first period ended at a scoreless tie.  Ethan made stop after stop in the 2nd period and although the Giants scored 2, they had many empty net chances where their shots did not hit their target and missed these opportunities to take a strangle hold on the scoreboard.  They led 2-1 entering the 3rd period.   Unfortunately the Giants allowed the relentless opposition to score 4 unanswered goals.  Once again, we hope that the Giants learned from their opposition's consistent effort until the final horn.   Goals:  Ayden Setosta (1), Rory ...

A very tight game today that featured a bit of everything.  Some great saves at each end of the rink, some great passing by both teams and some end to end rushes from both teams.  Only one shot made the difference on the scoreboard. The stage is set for the Green Giants Outdoor Winter Classic at Lanspeary Lions Rink on Thursday, March 1, 2018.   This 2 hour tilt will be a battle between the Parents versus The Green Giants and we anticipate both teams coming out with their game faces on.  Puck drops at 5 pm and pizza will be on tap when we leave the ice at 7 pm.  The TSN Sports Desk are predicting end to end action in this year's event.  Game On!!!
