Peewee Team 5, PeeWee Division, 2015-2016 (Tecumseh-Shoreline Eagles)

Down 2-0 in the 3rd period, the Wolf Pack dug deep and took their game to yet another level, rallying to tie the game before the end of regulation.  Overtime solved nothing. In the shootout, Zac Peltenburg scored on his attempt.  Our opponent got stopped by Alexander.  Then Zac Poitras was stopped on a brilliant save.  Our opponent tied it up on their 2nd shooter. Jeremy dragged the goalie over and then shot 5-hole to put us up by one.  Then Alexander challenged their shooter and made an awesome save to secure the shootout victory.  What a game.  What a season.  You are now the Champions of ...

It is amazing how the Wolf Pack can transform itself into a new group of players from week to week.  The team played much better through all 3 periods, limiting mistakes and then making up for them at the other end of the rink.  There was focus from the drop of the puck, huge second and third efforts from all of the team.  Well done Wolf Pack! Not wanting to work as a team unit and instead having team mates badmouthing each other hurt us today.  We can't expect to go public skating for 2 and a half periods and then bring hustle for 2 or 3 shifts in an entire game and expect to win.  It seemed like we thought our opponents would lay out the red carpet for us so that we could walk all over them.  Obviously they wanted this game to prove they could beat us and they did it.  It's too bad that another good effort by Alexander was wasted.
