Welcome to the Tecumseh Shoreline Minor Hockey Association

For those who are new to TSMHA or considering joining our organization, here is some basic information we hope will help you out.

Tecumseh Shoreline Minor Hockey (TSMHA) is a minor hockey associate of approximately 700 players.  We offer Travel (Representative Team) programs for kids aged 7 – 18 as well as House League programs from age 4 to 18.  Roster Select programs offerings are evaluated each season (Age brackets below explained)

Our Travel Program is offered to players wishing to play at a more competitive level.  There are tryouts for Travel Teams in May of each calendar year.  Teams are ready to go by September.  Travel Tryouts information will be posted to the website as soon as we have our schedule for the year.  Travel teams, as the name states, spend all of their game time playing against other Travel teams in our neighboring centers (ie Windsor, Lasalle, Essex, Chatham, etc).  Travel teams will generally have 1 to 2 practices per week plus games.  As these teams use more ice and incur more expenses, there are additional fees associated with playing on a travel team over and above a House League team.  More information can be found under the Travel section of our website.

Our House League program is a program for players who are just beginning the game or developing their skills to get to the next level if they wish.  We have great coaches and instructors who will ensure you child is playing at the appropriate level for their age and skill.  Teams generally have one practice and one game per week.  We also play one exhibition game per month against our two neighboring associations (Belle River and Riverside) in most divisions.

Registration opens the first weekend of April and runs until August.  But don’t delay….

Registration in many divisions is limited and you may be disappointed by late registration fees or not securing a spot in a division.  Go to the Registration section of our website for more information.

The age of the player is applicable to December 31st of the calendar year.
