OHL Bound - TSMHA's own MacPherson Twins, Frattaroli drafted
Submitted By Lee Walton on Sunday, June 6, 2021
TSMHA is proud to recognize the local talent taken in this weekend's OHL Prioirty Selection Draft...

Congratulations to Charlie Paquette of the Windsor AAA Zone Jr. Spits and the entire PowerTech family, on being selected 31st overall to the Guelph Storm!  Charlie bested his father Andy by 1 draft position (32nd overall to Sudbury in 1985), but no doubt has a bright future in the OHL.

Windsor AAA Zone Jr. Spits teammates selected:
Andrew Gibson - Soo Greyhounds (4th rd, 67th overall)
Anthony Ciaramitaro - Soo Greyhounds (9th rd, 178th overall)
Sebastien Gervais - Saginaw Spirit (12th rd, 224th overall)

TSMHA is elated with the news of our homegrown players and their selections:

Ryan MacPherson (171th overall) and his twin brother Connor MacPherson (188th overall) were BOTH drafted by Ottawa - the 67's clearly have plans for both these boys after selecting them in the 9th and 10th rounds respectively!

Sun County Panthers teammates selected:
Carter Duarte - Barrie Colts (14th rd, 260th overall)
Michael Kopcok - Oshawa Generals (15th rd, 281st overall)

While no doubt an exciting twist as the draft came to a close, TSMHA alumni Max Frattaroli was drafted 299th overall by none other than the Windsor Spitfires!

The COVID-19 pandemic did not make things easy for any of these players to get recognized in these unique circumstances.  They all worked extremely hard and we couldn't be happier for everyone.

Again, we congratulate all the players and their families -we wish you continued success as you begin your Junior careers!
