It is with
deep sadness that TSMHA mourns the loss of a young referee and player, Kyle
Chinnery. Kyle started his hockey career as a young player with TSMHA and
played for many years on our AE teams and in house league. His coaches laud his
unsurpassed respect and willingness to help. Always the one to fill the water
bottles and help whenever he could, he always gave 100% on the ice as a player
(even in big losses).
As a referee, Kyle is described as an enthusiastic, hard-working on ice official who refereed for our association, in the Hospice Tournament, as an OMHA official in travel games and for the OWHA. He had the ability of very few officials to know the rulebook to the letter. On a personal level, our Referee in Chief, Mike Bondy will miss Kyle at the rink, on the family rink on Pike Creek and will miss Kyle’s visits on his motorcycle. We will miss Kyle, are grateful for his contribution to TSMHA and offer our sincerest condolences to his family.
