Our Tecumseh Eagles Peewee AE team soared their way to victory to
clinch a spot in the OMHA finals.
The OMHA Semi-finals opened in LaSalle last weekend. The Eagles coming
off an emotional high with a quarter final win in Burlington were focused
taking Game#1 against LaSalle convincingly.
Game#2 looked much different with a determined LaSalle Sabre team coming back to Tecumseh and shocking the Tecumseh Eagles in front of their home crowd.
Back to LaSalle for Game#3. A truly intense game that lead to overtime. With constant pressure the Eagles flew down to score the game decider just 3 minutes into OT.
Game #4 with a chance to win the series in front of their home crowd the LaSalle Sabres once again fought back with an impressive win in regulation
Game#5 back in LaSalle. Winner goes onto OMHA finals! Tecumseh early on in the game found themselves down 2-0 mid way through the second. At this point coaches decide to settle the boys down. They re-enforced the team’s season goal of making the OMHA finals. It was the next 20 minutes that would determine if the season ends or continues. That’s when the Eagles decided to dig deep spread their wings and go on the attack scoring 7 goals to take the series.
This team won with solid teamwork, dedication and believing in each other. Every player had moments of greatness and moments where they made a mistake. However the boy’s commitment and support for each other and their coaches is what won this series. Parents and Coaches alike couldn't be more proud of their players!
We did it boys this is our time! Let’s dream big, work hard and take home the title.
Go Eagles Go!!!
