U8 Development Program - Updated Info!

TSMHA is proud to announce we will be running a U8 Development program this upcoming 2018/2019 season...

For the 2018/2019 season, TSMHA will be hosting an Under 8 Development Group. The U8 Development Group will consist of higher end players born in 2011 and 2012.  The initiative of this group is to focus on player development, as well as coaching development for future travel hockey with TSMHA for both 2011 and 2012 age groups.


Selection skates will be $10 per skate, to be paid at registration desk prior to skate:
  • Selection Skate #1 - Sunday September 23rd 5:30 pm Rink A
  • Selection Skate #2 - TBA
This program will be addition to house league and will replace Novice AE with the main focus on player development.

Below is an outline of the development schedule and approximate costing to take part in this program

  • Program runs beginning of October 2018 to the end of February 2019
  • 20 players, 2-4 goalies to be  selected to the group
  • 15- 2011 born players, 2- 2011 born goaltenders
  • 5- 2012 born players, 2- 2012 born goaltenders
  • 6 skates a month, in addition to their House League teams, during the week no later than 6pm
  • 2- Development skates run by TSMHA Coaches (Tuesday)
  • 2- Cross ice Development skates run by Power Tech (Wednesday)
  • 2- Transition to Full Ice/Skill development run by Cadotte Academy (Thursday)
  • Apparel- Track suit, game jerseys, socks, practice jerseys
  • Cost - Approx. $900 per player, group will run a team budget and will be allowed to fund raise and receive team sponsorships to assist in the cost.
