Atlas Cup Weekend - A Great Success!
Submitted By Lee Walton on Friday, October 21, 2016
We would like to thank all members of both the Belle River and Tecumseh Shoreline Minor hockey associations for a great turn out in support of last weekends Atlas Cup challenge and food drive.  With a total of 80 teams and 40 games it was an exciting and competitive weekend of hockey between the associations.

The Royal Limousine food drive also collected over 4000 non-perishable goods.  A great job by the association members and a big thank you to Royal Limousines for hosting this event.

With all the points tallied and food donations ready to be delivered, this years and inaugural Atlas Tube Cup victor is BELLE RIVER MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.

The real winner in this event was the local food bank that saw two overflowing limousines (sponsored by Royal Limousines) deliver shelve loading items for the upcoming Christmas season.  It is the generous donations from you the players, parents, grand-parents, and generous supporters that made this happen.  Congratulations!

We would like to thank Barry Zekelman for supporting this community event as well as Rob Molnar from Atlas Tube for the design and fabrication of the Atlas Cup.

Many thanks also go out to Kelly and Ryan Eagan for their time and services (Royal Limousines) coordinating the successful food drive over the weekend.

We'll see everyone back next year as we carry on the tradition of the ATLAS CUP!
