Back in January, the TSMHA board posted an announcement regarding our reclassification to category “A” (TSMHA - Recategorized to base category "A"). Windsor Minor (WMHA Base category) followed in March and now Belle River District Minor Hockey Association (BRDMHA) and Kent Minor Hockey Association (KMHA) have also agreed to submit requests for reclassification to category “A”. The submission for Belle River and Kent will be presented by our Regional Director at the next OMHA meeting April 29th.
If approved by the OMHA, this decision will establish a balanced Bluewater League with eight ‘A’ member associations. This also means that NRP cards can ONLY be issued for players intending to try-out for LaSalle Minor Hockey Association.
This is a fluid situation and we are monitoring as best as possible in preparation for the final decision this Saturday April 29th. For the time being, please continue to submit NRP requests using the NRP form (link below) including if you intend to try-out for LaSalle Minor Hockey Association.
