Sean McFadden
Coaching Experience: 8 Years
Playing Experience: 30 Years
Background & Experience:
Coach Sean has been a mainstay in the TSMHA coaching community for years, guiding players from U5 House League all the way through to U13 Select and Rep levels. His coaching journey has been driven by a love for the game, a strong family connection, and a passion for helping young athletes thrive.
One of his proudest accomplishments? Representing Team Canada at the Nations Cup Tournament—and bringing home the gold. But for Sean, the real wins come from being a part of his kids' development and sharing in the growth of their teammates both on and off the ice.
Coaching Philosophy:
Player development is at the core of Sean’s approach. He believes in blending individualized coaching with team-focused strategies to ensure every athlete has the opportunity to improve, build confidence, and enjoy the game. Most importantly, he wants players to have fun and develop a lifelong love for hockey.
Development & Culture:
Coach Sean works hard to create a team dynamic centred on leadership, teamwork, and positivity. His U11 A team is built on the values of hard work, accountability, and mutual respect—for teammates, coaches, opponents, and officials.
Why TSMHA?
“Coaching in Tecumseh is special to me because of the personal connection I have with the community. TSMHA has some of the best coaches and volunteers in the area, and it truly feels like a hockey family.”
Off the Ice:
When not coaching, Sean enjoys travelling, spending time with friends and family, and—of course—more hockey!
Fun Fact:
