2026-2027 TSMHA Rep HEAD Coaches

The Tecumseh-Shoreline Minor Hockey Association (TSMHA) is excited to introduce our Rep Head Coaches for the 2026-2027 season. We look forward to a great season ahead and to seeing our players grow and succeed under the guidance of these dedicated coaches!

Entering his sixth season behind the bench, Coach Ryan brings strong foundational experience and a passion for player development. After four years helping build programs at Belle River District Minor Hockey, he joined TSMHA last season. He quickly became an integral part of our development pathway, contributing across multiple age groups, including U7 and U11 House League and U7 Select.

Coach Ryan believes the foundation matters most:
“I believe in building strong fundamentals while ensuring players have fun every time they step on the ice. We will prioritize teamwork, resilience and personal growth - rewarding effort over outcome.”

His U8 MD team will be built on what it means to be an Eagle:
E – Effort every time you hit the ice
A – Always be a good teammate
G – Great sportsmanship
L – Listen and learn
E – Excel in the fundamentals

Coach Christian returns following a very successful season leading our current 2018/U8 MD group - a year defined by strong development, confidence growth and a team-first culture. The progress made across that group reflects his structured approach and commitment to building fundamentals the right way.

With over 20 years of playing experience and six years of coaching experience - including time with Windsor Midget Major AAA (2014-2016) - Christian brings both high-level insight and grassroots development focus to the Eagles bench.

“My goal is to develop resilient, skilled players who love coming to the rink. We emphasize strong fundamentals while learning to compete with integrity, respect and teamwork.”

Under Coach Christian, U9 MD will focus on:
• Skill progression
• Hockey IQ development
• Confidence with the puck
• Competing the right way

Coach Sean returns following a strong 2025-2026 season leading our U9 MD Eagles - a year defined by steady development, team growth and a competitive edge that set the tone for the group’s progression. The foundation built last season now moves forward to the next level.

With over 20 years of coaching experience and 36 years as a player, Sean brings deep knowledge of the game and a proven track record of building structured, competitive teams. His background includes Sun County AAA, multiple Tecumseh Rep programs and a Stobbs Division Championship with the Lakeshore Canadiens - the same organization he once proudly played for.

His coaching philosophy is firm but fair.

Effort is expected.
Accountability is taught.
Confidence is built.

“Hard work is non-negotiable - but it always comes with encouragement, consistency and care.”

Under Coach Sean, U10 A will emphasize:
• Elevated compete level
• Positional awareness
• Accountability and discipline
• Team-first culture

Proven leadership. Deep roots.

A Tecumseh Eagle himself, Andrew has been coaching within our association since 2016. Over the past decade, he has worked across U5 through U16 - often across multiple age groups - building a broad and experienced perspective on player development.

His 2025-2026 U10 A season was one of the strongest in program history:
• 38-14-3 record (at time of writing)
• Three tournament championships
• Ranked second in Ontario (MHR) for nearly the entire season

But for Andrew, success is about more than results.

His coaching philosophy is rooted in teamwork, relentless work ethic and continuous development both on and off the ice. He believes in creating competitive environments where players push one another to improve - while keeping the game positive, fun, and rewarding.

His team standard is built around TEC:
T – Teammate: Be a great teammate on and off the ice.
E – Excellence: Show commitment, respect, and growth.
C – Compete: Effort and attitude are always within your control.

Andrew coaches because he believes in helping young players build confidence, discover what they’re capable of and grow together as a unit.

A new season means new challenges - and a new opportunity to elevate.

Experience. Stability. Continued growth.

Coach Sean enters his ninth year behind the bench and continues to be a key part of the Eagles' development pathway. Over the years, he has coached across multiple levels within TSMHA, guiding players from U5 House League through Select and Rep programs while building a reputation for strong player development and positive team culture.

During the 2025-2026 season, Coach Sean led the U11 A Eagles to an outstanding 33–9–4 record (at time of writing), capturing a tournament championship and spending most of the season ranked in and around the Top 10 teams in Ontario according to MHR.

"Player development is at the core of my approach. I believe in blending individual growth with a strong team-first mentality, so every player has the opportunity to improve, build confidence and enjoy the game."

Under Coach Sean, the U12 A Eagles will emphasize:
• Strong individual skill development
• Leadership and accountability
• Competing with intensity and respect
• Pride in wearing the Eagles crest

With experience, continuity and a proven commitment to development, the program continues to build forward.

Coach Mike brings a decade of coaching experience behind the bench, including time with TSMHA Select and Rep teams and Sun County Panthers AAA. His teams are known for their structure, attention to detail and strong team culture.

One of the highlights of his coaching journey came in 2018 when he helped lead an Eagles team to an OMHA Championship - a moment that reflects the standards and preparation he brings to every team.

During the 2025-2026 season, Coach Mike guided the U12 A Eagles to a 31-15-6 record (at the time of writing) while spending most of the season ranked (by MHR) among the Top 5 teams in Ontario.

Mike’s approach focuses on developing individual players within a strong team-first structure. Practices are high-tempo and purposeful, with an emphasis on hockey IQ, skill progression and accountability.

"We’re building more than hockey players - we’re building competitors, leaders, and teammates. With effort, respect and commitment to development, every player has the opportunity to grow."

Under Coach Mike, the U13 A Eagles will focus on:

• Structured team play
• Hockey IQ and situational awareness
• Leadership and accountability
• Competing with intensity and discipline

As players continue to develop and the game continues to get faster, preparation becomes everything.

Continuity matters.

The upcoming season will mark Mike’s sixth year coaching the 2013-born Eagles - six years, one standard. Over that time, he has guided this group through several key stages of their development. That consistency has helped shape a strong team identity rooted in accountability, trust and players who genuinely enjoy competing and spending time together.

Over more than a decade behind the bench, Mike has coached numerous Rep and House League teams, earning a reputation for preparation, communication and a development-first approach.

Coach Mike believes in forming a team of equals - players who support each other, push each other to improve and take pride in representing the Eagles.

During the 2025-2026 season, Coach Mike guided the U13 A Eagles to a 31-14-2 record (at time of writing) while spending much of the year ranked in and around the top 15 teams in Ontario (per MHR).

In recognition of his leadership and the culture he has established, Mike was also named TSMHA’s Rep Coach of the Year for the 2024-25 season.

The U14 year represents one of the biggest transitions in minor hockey, as the game now features body checking. Coach Mike understands the responsibility that comes with guiding players through that change - helping them develop the awareness, confidence and habits needed to compete safely and effectively in a faster, more physical game.

Strong programs don’t rebuild - they reinforce through continuity, shared standards and players who believe in the Eagles culture.

For Coach Mike, success comes from effort, accountability and pride in representing Tecumseh every time the team steps on the ice.

Leadership and culture set the tone.

Coach Jeff brings more than a decade of coaching experience within the Tecumseh Eagles program, including nine seasons guiding the 2011 Eagles age group and experience as an Assistant Coach with the Windsor AAA Zone program. His teams are known for their strong compete level, accountability and a family-style culture where players support one another on and off the ice.

Over the years, Jeff has guided teams to significant success, including back-to-back Bluewater League Championships and a strong showing at the OMHA Championships - accomplishments that reflect the discipline and commitment his teams bring every night.

During the 2025-2026 season, Coach Jeff has guided the U15 A Eagles to a 39-11-2 (at time of writing) record, capturing two tournament championships, finishing as Silver Stick Southern Regional finalists, and spending much of the year ranked #1 in Ontario (per MHR).

In recognition of his leadership and the culture he has established, Jeff is also a previous recipient of the TSMHA Glenn Gervais Rep Coach of the Year Award.

Coach Jeff believes great teams are built on respect, trust and accountability. As he often reminds his players, you can’t go far in hockey if you’re not a good teammate.

At the U16 level, expectations rise, the pace of the game increases and leadership within the room becomes critical. Coach Jeff emphasizes a team-first environment where players hold themselves and each other to a high standard.

For Coach Jeff, success comes from players who compete hard, respect the game and take pride in representing Tecumseh every time they step on the ice.
