The U10 A Tecumseh Eagles soared to victory this past weekend, capturing the gold medal at the New Hamburg Early Bird Classic in dominant fashion.
The Eagles capped off their incredible run with a 9-2 win over the Lake Erie North Stars in an all–Bluewater League Final on Sunday afternoon.
From the opening game, the Eagles showcased both offensive firepower and defensive discipline. They rolled through the round robin with four straight wins:
Game 1: 8-1 victory over the Ausable Valley Coyotes
Game 2: 11-0 win against the Hespeler Shamrocks
Game 3: 4-0 shutout of the Woolwich Wildcats
Game 4: 11-0 triumph over the host New Hamburg Huskies
Finishing as the top seed, the Eagles faced the host Huskies again in the Semi-Final. In a much closer battle, Tecumseh pulled away for a 6-1 victory to book their place in the championship game.
The gold medal finish was a true team effort, with scoring depth across the lineup, stingy defence and strong goaltending. The weekend was not only a showcase of skill and tenacity, but also an important bonding experience for players, coaches, and families as they begin the 2025–26 season.
Congratulations to the U10 A Tecumseh Eagles on an unforgettable start to the season—here’s to many more memorable moments ahead!
