This year, our Eagles hockey family made an incredible impact through the 2024 Hockey for Hospice Tournament. Together with nearly 2,000 young hockey players from across our region, the tournament raised an astounding $534,984 to support the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
Our Tecumseh teams showed amazing dedication and generosity, contributing significantly to this total. Special recognition goes to:
🏆 Cody Willis of the Tecumseh White Blizzards U15 team, who was named the 2024 Hockey for Hospice Top Overall Pledge Collector, raising an incredible $5,245! Cody was honoured with the Rising Star Award, presented in memory of Marilyn Deneau.
🏒 The Tecumseh White Blizzards U15 Team, our Top Fundraising Team, raised an impressive $9,010 this year – congratulations to the entire team!
🏒 Tecumseh U8 Orange Tigers contributed $5,485, and the Tecumseh U9 Night Hawks Black raised $5,395 – amazing efforts by all involved!
This year, one of our Tecumseh teams, the U15 Blue Krakens, played in memory of Tiffany Rizok, the loving mother of Shaemus Adams (#6). Their participation was a touching tribute to Tiffany’s legacy and an inspiration to our hockey community.
Over the past 28 years, Hockey for Hospice has raised an incredible $5,832,439, helping to fund vital care for patients and their families. This year’s contributions will cover 8 of the 12 hospice beds for all of 2025, making a real difference in our community.
