Riding a commanding lead, a late-game line juggling experiment by coach Janik effectively dashed the team's shutout hopes with Black notching a quick pair. The contest featured a pair of self-propelled rushes & goals by the determined and driven Jankulovski, as well as a beauty wrist shot goal by Ellsworth - his first of the season.
Sunday's match saw the Rocks' nemesis the Green Giants steal an early lead while pelting McMahon relentlessly in the first period. The Rocks' goalie held the team in the game enough to allow Crozier to finally slip one past Giants netminder Carlone. With Carson Janik's goal to tie the game 2-2, the game looked to be a certain draw until a final second penalty shot call on the Rocks. With the Zamboni on hold and both benches on their feet, McMahon was ready to face the marksmanship of Peltenburg, and managed to stymie the dangerous shooter to maintain the 2-2 conclusion. Wow !
