Midget Minors Win in Niagara
TSMHA Midget Minor AA are Champs at Niagara Bauer Invite after a shootout victory in the finalsAfter losing 4-2 to the Halton Hills Thunder in their 4th game of round robin play, the Tecumseh Eagles were again set to face their rivals in the championship game after a 5-2 semi-final victory over the Brantford 99er's. The championship game was a hard fought, back and forth battle. At the end of regulation the score was 3-3. Five minutes of scoreless overtime led to a shootout. The game was not decided until the 8th shooter, Liam Kiewitz, buried the puck in the back of the net. Katie Sweeney was spectacular in net for Tecumseh, stopping 7 of 8 shots in the shootout. The entire team fought hard and played solid hockey throughout the tournament and especially in the championship game. You should be proud of your efforts and success. Congratulations to all and great start to the season.
