Hockey For Hospice
Hello,

We are playing in the annual Hockey for Hospice Tournament on December 27, 28, and 29.

In addition to providing a competitive atmosphere for all different levels of competition for boys and girls, the tournament is a major fund raising event for Hospice of Windsor and Essex County. The majority of the income comes from pledges collected by the boys and girls who play in the tournament. There are many incentives for teams and individual players.

Tournament Points of Interest

b.) The tournament expenses per team, which is paid from registration and pledges, is approximately $850 per team. Please assure that your team becomes a contributor to our charities.

Team Incentives

Teams receive 1/2 point for every $250 in pledges turned in by their players before their first game.

There is a maximum of 5 points per team that can be received for pledges. Divisional standings are based on points won playing hockey plus points received for pledges.

It is readily apparent that larger amounts of pledges will increase each team's chances in the final standing in the division after the hockey has been completed.

Additionally, when teams are tied for the playoffs and after head to head competition results, the amounts of team pledges is the second tie breaker.

Each player on the team with the most pledges in their division will receive an award for their achievement.

Player Incentives Awards

a.) $50 pledges – water bottle
b.) $125 pledges - hoodie
c.) $175 pledges – hoodie and water bottle
d.) $300 pledges –Entry for door prizes, hoodie, water bottle, and puck
