This weekend the Tecumseh Minor AA team participated in the Rock N Roll Cup tournament in Cleveland, Ohio
Our team went into the tournament as a developing but eager team hoping for success and determined to give it our all.
We finished the tournament undefeated with our final victory ending in a 7-2 finish over an equally hard-working team.
Myself and the coaching staff are so proud and excited for the players on such a momentous weekend. They came into the tournament determined to be competitive, and ended it being victorious.
While there were obvious wins on the ice, we were also successful off the ice. I can't say enough about the sportsmanship, comraderie, behaviour and kindness I witnessed this weekend from our kids. We didn't over celebrate when we were winning 15-0, we were behaved in restaurants and at the hotel, we didn't complain about curfew times and took all competition seriously . We represented both the team and our Tecumseh centre admirably.
Big shout out to our dedicated coaching staff of whom's optimism, consistent belief in the team and valuable input has helped us get to this success. As well, shout out to the parents who continue to encourage their players, attend games and practices and who came out to share in the victory of the team.
Once again, congratulations Eagles! Myself and the coaches and are proud of each and every one of you and honoured to be a part of such a wonderful group of kids.
